First Hour Photography

First Hour Photography started as a photography business focused on Delivery Room photography. It has now expanded to provide In-Home Newborn sessions and In-Home Cake Smash (First Birthday) sessions. Mother-Baby or Parent-Baby portraits are done in my Rockville home studio. Hospitals served for Delivery Room Photography include Holy Cross Hospital - Silver Spring, MD, Holy Cross Hospital-Germantown, Adventist Healthcare Shady Grove Medical Center and Medstar Montgomery General.

Each of my sessions comes with a beautiful product to treasure as a keepsake or place on the wall of your home. These products include albums, folio boxes of matted prints, canvases, metal prints and collages. Digital files are included with products that you purchase.

Start with a quick chat on the phone or use the “Contact Form” so we can set up a time to chat.

If it seems like a good fit, you can book a session on this website. A non-refundable Reservation Fee is due at the time of booking a session.

DESIGN

Share your vision, we can work together on the details. Different types of sessions require different types of preparation.

You can let me know what kind of artwork or album you have in mind. I also have samples in my studio space to give you some ideas.

CREATE

Enjoy the portrait session. I’ll have some music or you can put on a playlist for the occasion. My goal is to freeze that moment in time so you can reconnect to the memories and emotions of that time in your life each time you view your artwork.

VIEW

About 7-10 days after your session, we can meet at your home or at my studio and you can view your images. Payment for your album or wall art to be completed at this time. A private link to your gallery will be provided for ordering any additional products such as prints or collages. Social media digital files are included for images you have purchased. All images are professionally retouched prior to printing.
